Tony Dale, Chairman & Founder

Tony, a British native, grew up in Taiwan and Britain and trained at the world- renowned Royal and Ancient Hospital of St. Bartholomew (“Barts”) in London, England.  He met his wife Felicity during his time at Barts.  After practicing family medicine in Britain, Tony and his family moved to the United States in 1987. Today, Tony and Felicity enjoy the great pleasure of being grandparents as their four children are grown, a few are married - and one of them has four children.

Tony's interest in medical economics began following his experience with the American medical system when he needed knee surgery in 1996.  From his personal experience of the inconsistencies and staggering cost of the system, Tony determined to find a way to help people find better access to quality and affordable care.

Because of the Dales' interest in medical mission work, The Karis Group has always maintained a particular interest in helping individuals and groups that have not been able to afford adequate health coverage.  Tony and Felicity frequently travel abroad on mission trips, bringing medical care and the Gospel to the nations. Tony and Felicity are also actively involved in the house church movement, spending much of their free time supporting the publishing company they started, House2House Ministries, and publishing books on the subject of simplifying churches. Tony is very committed to seeing the poor in the U.S. and abroad receive adequate healthcare in an economically sustainable manner.  Recently, Tony partnered with some other like-minded medical and business professionals in Europe to begin a pilot project to bring healthcare to the working poor of India.  Read more...

Levi Smith, CEO

Levi Smith serves as CEO of The Karis Group. Levi brings a unique combination of legal, business and technology acumen to The Karis Group, helping ensure our clients receive the most efficient and cost- effective service possible.

While obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis, Levi focused his studies on marketing, management and philosophy.  Levi put these skills into practice during and after his time at Washington University, pursuing several entrepreneurial endeavors including developing a successful IT consulting and marketing business in Austin, Texas.

While at The University of Texas School of Law, Levi was involved with Christian Legal Society and served as a Senior Editor of the Texas Review of Law & Politics.  During his time at UT, Levi enjoyed the opportunity to extern for Chief Judge James R. Nowlin, US District Court for the Western District of Texas.

Today, Levi spends his free time with wife and friends and enjoys serving his local church, The Austin Stone Community Church.  Levi also enjoys hitting the links and rekindling his tennis game of years gone by.
